Wikidata as source of citation data

It can be used in two ways:


  1. return a count for the number of citations
  2. to list the actual papers citing the article (as if they are tweets)

See Wikicite and Scholia. The latter shows how SPARQL can be used to get this data.

Thanks for the feature request!


We've previously had requests to include Wikidata, beyond the Wikipedia mentions we track. This is something we hope to do in future, but don't currently have on our roadmap. We'll be sure to look at how we can best prioritise this.
