Accounting for Homogeneity in Twitter Scores

 Are you treating tweets differently when they come mainly from one single country or are more widespread world wide?

Or do you simply count the tweets applying your weighing function which does not seem to include a homogeneity score.

This paper got me thinking about that. The score is strongly depended on Japan.

Thanks for reaching out to Altmetric!


Altmetric does not provide modification based on location of the tweeters though that is an interesting idea as lots of attention in a single country is different than some attention across various countries.


I will pass this idea on to our Head of Product as something to look at in future.
