What personal data do we use in our products?

The personal information we use in the Altmetric products broadly falls into three categories:

  • Information about users of the Altmetric products (including Altmetric Explorer, Altmetric Badges, Altmetric API, and Altmetric Bookmarklet)

  • Information about authors of research outputs tracked by Altmetric (e.g., ┬ájournal articles, books, book chapters, datasets, and other content)

  • Information about creators or authors of mentions, for research outputs tracked by Altmetric (e.g., social media, news, policy, blog, and patent mentions)
