Scholarly identifiers supported by Altmetric

In order to track online attention to a research output it needs to have at least one persistent scholarly identifier. Altmetric supports a range of identifiers:

• DOIs

• PubMed IDs

• ISBNs

• Handles

• arXiv IDs

• SSRN IDs - not available in the Altmetric Explorer search filters

• RePEC IDs

• URNs

• ClinicalTrials.gov records

• ADS IDs - discontinued 1/1/2024 (historical records only)
