This feature is available for Altmetric Explorer for Institutions only.

If your Explorer for Institutional instance has institutional or organizational authors and departments that were imported as part of a data implementation, then you will see a toggle option in Quick Search and Advanced Search menus) that lets you switch between the "Full Altmetric database" and "My institution only". This means that you can choose to search for research outputs within your institutional view, or you can expand the search to view results from the full Altmetric database.

When you run a Quick Search, you'll see an option to choose between "Full Altmetric database" and "My institution only" in the top-right corner.

Similarly, when you run an Advanced Search by clicking "Edit search" in the search query bar, you will also see the option to toggle between "Full Altmetric database" and "My institution only" in the top-right corner.

The toggle option is located on the right hand side of the Advanced Search.

If you select "Full Altmetric database", your search query will be applied to the full Altmetric database of research outputs. 

If you select "My institution only", then your search query will be restricted to your institution's verified research outputs, which were associated with your institution's EFI instance during a data implementation from your publication source - e.g. CRIS, institutional repository, or CSV spreadsheets.
