Altmetric have noted with interest the recent changes at X (previously Twitter) and are continuing to observe ongoing developments with the platform closely. 

In the meantime, we will continue to track attention to mentions of academic research outputs shared on X. X remains one of the major platforms used by academics globally and our plan for now is to continue to track it as we always have.

We are closely monitoring the situation in terms of coverage and usage, and are currently working on a number of scenarios as to how we might adjust to any developments that may occur in the future. Changes made to recognize the new branding of the platform will also be integrated going forwards.
