We'd really like to track Altmetrics around non-traditional outputs (grey literature) that are not published in traditional journals, captured in bibliometric databases such as Scopus, or have a DOI. Where this research has been published online, would it be possible to flag the URLs for Altmetric to track - as you would do for a publisher URL - either through AFI or the publication record in Elements?
Thanks for getting in touch! Altmetric can track attention to URLs on specific domains and we can also track grey literature if it has another identifier such as a Handle or subject repository ID. We'll get in touch with you directly to explain how this can be set up for the University of Sheffield and import the links via Elements.
