Beginning on December 3, 2024, Altmetric will track mentions of research outputs on the social media platform, Bluesky. Bluesky, with over 20M users, is a decentralised microblogging social networking service. The platform is analogous to X (formerly Twitter), where users can share short text posts, images, and video, and can like, repost, and reply to any given post. Bluesky is increasingly being used as an alternative to X/Twitter.
