Stack Exchange content tracking
Altmetric receives a feed from StackExchange daily and uses link matching to associate mentions with publications. We look for links in forum posts on StackExchange sites. If those links lead to research output platforms that we track and have identifiers we will automatically pick them up.
The Q&A on an Altmetric Details Page
On an Altmetric Details Page, the Q&A tab lists mentions by time of publication in descending order, with the most recent ones available at the top of the page. You can see who posted the mention, on which forum, and the content of the post.
Q&A mentions appear as light grey in the Altmetric donut.
